The Diezel Zerrer is a 2 channel preamp in a pedal that can be utilized in front of an amp as a distortion, as a practice amp, and a studio direct amp with aggressive tones and features that are synonymous with Diezel. There is a stereo headphone jack which allows the use of the Zerrer as a practice amp. In addition a stereo aux input providing the ability to plug in external backing tracks. The versatility of the Zerrer is second to none like having a Diezel head in a box that can be taken on the road for practicing, recording and playing live in front of any clean amp.
Channel 1 Clean/ Dirty – This channel features independent eq with a separate gain control to adjust the level of distortion for either crunchy rhythms or crystal cleans.
Channel 2 Heavy/ Lead – This channel features more gain than Channel one. Making it ideal for aggressive modern rhythms and soaring leads.
Master Volume – Like the Diezel amps there is a master volume to control the overall level of both channels.
Presence Control – This controls the amount of sparkle or cut for both channels adding brilliant highs for killer clean tones as well as adding that extra bit of shimmer to your leads.
Deep Control – This control adds girth to your tone. This is very effective when using the Zerrer in front of a clean amp that might be thin sounding.
Guitar Input – ¼ inch jack for plugging in your guitar
Amp output – ¼ output into the amp
FX loop – this allows you to plug any FX processor or FX pedal into the back of the Zerrer making the unit completely self sufficient for both Live and Studio use.
Direst Stereo out – This output contains a high quality speaker emulator that allows you to record direct from the unit itself giving you all the tones offered in a Diezel amp.
Stereo Headphone Input – ¼ inch input for any stereo headphones allowing for quiet practice or recording without the need for external speakers.
External switcher input – The Zerrer also offers an external switch input that can be used with any toggle switch to turn on and off the unit. This allows the user to keep the unit in a rack or near the amp and still be able to switch on and off.
